    Hi Everyone,

I'm using lang-8.com to try to revive my Irish. I wrote this small entry about an animated film called "Ernest and Celestine". In the film, there's bears and mice, and they act like people and have the same society structure. So if I want to talk about "the bear police and the mice police", would I be correct in saying "na póilíní béair agus na póilíní lucha"?

    Thanks.

    Póilíní na luch Mice Police
    Póilíní na mbéar Bear Police

These are the correct genitive plurals.

So all in all: Póilíní na luch agus (póilíní) na mbéar

You could also say Na póilíní béar agus na póilíní luch but the first way is more natural I feel.

Yeah, that sounds correct. Thank you for that!
