no hassle whatsoever, infact, you will wonder why you didn't change to android earlier:) if you never used android before,it might tke you a while to get used to it,but its really straightforward. what you will notice is the openness of the android os,no hassle putting music, movies, photos etc straight onto your device.also you may be surprised at how much you can customise your device compared to apple.anything you need to know or any problems you may come up against will be answered here or other android related threads.enjoy

I made the change a few years ago and never looked back.

IMO (and I might get slated for this), you need to be a little techie to manage Android, sometimes little problems can occur that require some minor troubleshooting (I usually find the solution on here or just Google) but the benefits outweigh the cons. I never had a major issues and never regretted the change. Good luck OP r

One of the big things to remember to do is to turn off iMessage on your iPhone before you move over to your new phone. Otherwise all your messages will get intercepted and you'll be wondering why you're receiving nothing.

Everything else should be reasonably straight forward. See this link for transferring contacts - http://www.androidphonesoft.com/resources/transfer-contacts-from-iphone-to-samsung-galaxy-s5.html

As for music, photo's etc, I think it's best to just manually back them up on your PC or else use Dropbox/Google.

I did same and not going back, take your time getting used to it.

Smart Switch (Samsung app), will transfer all your contacts, calendars, SMS, notes etc without any hassle.

I've switched back and forth for years, tbh there is no major difference and you'll get the hang of it quickly.

you can download and app on the iphone to generate a vCard ( file that contains all your contacts - handy to have as a back up anyway) then mail this file to yourself, open on hte new phone and hey presto ... contacts transfered.

I use the vvard app on my android now to to mail my self an up to date backup every now and then

That's right, there is obviously a lot more choice and customisation with an android compared to an iPhone, but I think it's a bit of a myth how much of a learning curve is involved, end of the day they are a different twist on the basically the same thing - a smartphone. You'll be really happy with it. Iphones are already great out of the box, they are intuitive and we'll thought out, but you are restricted to what they offer.
Think about your switch to Android like this, keep it really simple and just enjoy your great new phone before thinking of everywhere you can tinker with it at first, find out what you like and don't like about the ui/home screens, icons etc, and slowly but surely start adjusting it to your liking. The main benefit of this for me is I can switch up the look of my phone when I get bored with it, so it does help to keep it feeling fresh or snappy.
The only thing I would miss from an iPhone if I had one would be the camera and iTunes, but the Note 4 shooter is the business, (even if the 6+'s image processing is arguably superior), and converting your iTunes to your Android - there's an app for that ;)

With Android you won't be dependent on iTunes either, which is a big plus for me.
