I have a Sony Xperia a few months old.

Just today this thing.keeps flashing up every 7 seconds " read error try again "

    Any idea.
It's so bloody annoying and I cannot hear properly when making /receiving a call. As it interferes with sound.

I've turned on and off taken out sim to no avail.
    Any advice
    Thanks

Sounds more like something is wrong with your storage than your sim card. Does your phone have an external sdcard? If so does this still happen with the sdcard removed?
The read error could also be referring to the built in storage.

Ok I tried all that and it still continued so one day I woke up and it just disappeared.

Tonight I followed a link on Facebook to view a video.

It said video private and immediately "read error try again " popped up and has been ever since.

    any ideas?

I would factory reset the device and if the issue still occurs it is under warranty.

Make sure you have backed up your important data like contacts and photos before you factory reset the phone.
