Are E-Cigs better or worse than proper smokes? im guessing they d be better since they get rid of all the tar and stuff that would be in the real ones? and is the second hand smoke from the e-cig or what ever it is harmful or?

Theoretically they're infinitely safer. Our knowledge of the harm caused by smoking is that it's the by product of burning tobacco leaves and not the nicotine that causes the harm, in theory, by eliminating the process of burning tobacco leaves the harm will have been reduced greatly.

Now in practice, we just don't know yet but the theory, combined with a lack of e-cig related deaths would suggest they are better than smoking but nothing is ever going to be 100% safe.

Far better in my opinion,I'm using one the last two months,so far my morning cough has disappeared,I can breath easier and in general look and feel a lot better, plus its far cheaper.I've dropped down to the 6mg and will drop down to 0mg in the next week or two and hopefully after Xmas I'll drop the whole lot of it

I was thinking as much but ud wonder what chemicals are goin into the solution for the e-cigs aswell, the auld lad has been smokin for about 40 odd years and has recently enuff swapped for the e-cig, if they re better for ya there doin a great job because he hasnt went back on em yet!

They're definitely better for my pocket, and my clothes smell nicer etc... Nice to be avoiding everything except nicotine withouht going through the 'crazy b!tch' stage of giving up the cigs, but I guess giving up the vape when it comes down to it probably won't be a bag of laughs either!
Second-hand vape is less smelly (pretty much no disernible smell) than second hand smoke and is supposed to be entirely harmless but we won't know for sure for a long time...

Essentially you have the stuff they make dry ice from plus nicotine and food grade flavourings. If you're unsure about the contents of the liquid a good rule of thumb is only to use liquid produced in the EU.
