Help hanging heavy curtains on insulated wall

    I'd go with the batten alright, can screw it in to the wall, say a screw every foot which is 10 screws. That way the weight of the curtains is spread as opposed to being on 3 brackets.
    Now that all said I'm no expert its what I'd do but someone may be along with better advice.

    Edit: also meant to add try find where the studs are behind the dry lining and screw into them, or if possible attach the batten right into the lintel above the window with some deep rawl plugs, is the drylining over a layer of insulation, how deep would it be to get into something more solid.

    Get a 2 by 1 inch batten , paint it white and use screws as well as an adhesive like "no nails ".

    if its only 10mm deep according to the ops post then get long screws or frame fixers and drill through plasterboard into block wall and hang pole as normal.100mm frame fixings.better to over engineer than be not long enough
