Portable chargers for laptop and iPhone

    Apparently you can buy portable chargers for iPhones - anyone used these? (Friend's car lighter has stopped working and it would cost a fortune to get mended; I thought of it as a Christmas present.
    She's also wondering if there's a portable charger for her laptop; she works in her car (austerity being what it is) a lot of the time between rushing from client to client, and her internet dongle has zilch battery life and needs to be charged from her laptop, which then runs down, and so on. Is there such a thing?
