Hello all I see a update in the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List during the year.

And I just thought why don't I do the course in Ireland doing tiling before I head over.

Is this a good idea ?

Would it help me over there and help me get sponsored instead of doing farm work.

To be honest I don't mind the idea of being trapped on a farm for three months.

    I seen this course http://www.skillsforlifecentre.com/skills-for-life-courses/professional-tiling-courses.html

I do not mind paying 700 and something because it will pay off in the long run.

But obviously it have to be accredited or I am not doing it.

On the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List it states

Wall and Floor Tiler 333411 TRA

So I cannot see the problem here doing this working over there and gaining experience.

    3 days will not qualify

You need either Equivalent to AQF Level III or Level IV or 3 years worth of experience or both.... basically an apprenticeship

As above 3 day course won't cover 3 years worth of an apprenticeship.

So what your saying is there is no point doing this in ireland.

I would be better going to australia and learning how to tile over there ?

There's no point in doing that course because no employer would take you seriously. Not sure how you plan on learning how to tile in Australia but just be aware that you won't be able to get an apprenticeship.

If you were looking sponsored or migration probably this is your best bet

Mate Tiling is fupping hard graft.

Pick a more specialised course that will definitely be on the list in years to come.

Unless you like love tiling and hate your knees.
