Having just read his bio have to say I've huge respect for the guy. Poor guy had some **** to go through as a kid, and came through it all.

Absolutely hilarious in his commentary, but also has a humourous personality.

A lot to respect. He at the very least seeks after the truth and not be influenced by any particular body even if I think that he's often wrong. Always someone whose opinion I'll listen to.

I think Moore is fantastic. He's an excellent commentator and provides interesting insight most of the time. His articles in the Telegraph are good value too. Always respect his opinion.

i believe he actually wrote his own bio as opposed to having a ghost writer or journalist do the proofing etc.

A better columnist than co-commentator. A brilliantly intelligent man and a double hard b@stard, but his off the cuff stuff on TV can get a bit ridiculous. His in-depth columns are much more enjoyable.

Commentators have very little scope to teach viewers about the game as opposed to the bt sport demos with BOD etc or the analysts wit the replays galore they go to in breaks in play.

Moore's off the cuff stuff is just reactionary. I think it was when danny care got binned in 2009 in croker and when the replay was shown moore just said "thats just dull". Its better then the cliche after cliche stuff too many co-commentators usually come out with.

He gets quite involved in the games emotionally and that comes through but he is direct and knowledgeable and gets his points across well (particularly wrt the scrum).

He gets a lot of hate in Ireland but I think he is easily one of the best commentators out there.

Respect for the man. Might not agree with some of his views but .......
Listen to his radio show 'Full contact' on Talksport Radio. You can find it on your satellite receiver. Sunday night. Good insight into the game.

You can also get a podcast of the broadcast on the Talksport Website.

Wears his heart on his sleeve but manages to be articulate at the same time. Always interested to hear his views.

Usually listen to that. He has Nigel Owens on most shows as well whose views are good to get.

He used to post on the planet rugby forum before it got pruned to nothing. His handle was bcm666 which is amusing enough in its own right.

    His posts were... interesting :D

Indeed. I recall him back in the day. I think he was BCM originally, then left and returned. He did not suffer fools gladly. It was quite entertaining to see someone argue about the finer details of performing at a high level before being smacked down with "Mate, I've played on a winning Lions tour and in a RWC final, pipe down".

Absolutely not. Very fair chap with no chip on his shoulder. Nothing to prove to anyone.

By a frankly ludicrous margin, the vast majority of his "hate" and ire are directed at the English team whenever they are stupid.
