I am not an expert but i noticed a similiar thing on my laptop recently when i left it idle for a bit,i didn't investigate it much but suspected it was something to do with the screensaver,where its meant to kick in after being idle for whatever its set for but doesn't.

it doesnt happy when its idle its the left hand part of screen that is soing it ?
