Looking for a bit of advice as I'm tearing out my hair.

Have a few Xoro 9000+ combo boxes for the past year or so.

Last few days RTE 1 is acting up on only one particular TV, screen freezing but sound is perfect

All the rest of the channels are fine, including the rest of the RTE free to air.

Tried the rest of the Xoros with the TV too. Same story.

Why would only one channel be gone wrong, and none of the rest??

When I plug the Xoros into other TV's in the house RTE 1 works perfectly!!:confused::confused: All on the same aerial and sat dish.

A signal problem could easily be localised to 1 TV point, could be something as simple as a dodgy connector on the end of the aerial cable.

Signal problem affecting RTE1 wouldn't just be confined to RTE1 though: RTE1 +1 & RTE jr. will be acting up too, as they're part of the same multiplex.

Are you sure it's not mains local interference of some sort and that RTE+1 isn't affected as above poster says?
I have similar affecting the RTE1 Mux on two devices and it was the power supply in the base unit of a phone next to the tv for one. That was fixed by moving the phone about 10cm! The other I had to arrange the cabling carefully around a combi box to get the signal quality to 80% (from 50%).

Only affects that mux (Maghera Mux2 Ch.55) and the other ch 48 is fine....
