    Hi all,

I've got the following on the way

I have a 1080p monitor and a keyboard but I need Win 8.1. I thought I could purchase it via Reddit but the link I saved is now showing nothing - https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/comments/2iyp57/h_windows_7_8_81_windows_server_office_visio/ Any ideas as to the next best alternative?

As this is my first ever build I have a few more questions I'd appreciate some input on from more experienced PC builders here:-

    1. Will the above setup come with all the power cables needed to hook up the HDD, SSD, Motherboard, DVD Drive, Graphics Card etc? Yes

    2. Do I need to install a CPU fan after installing the CPU on the motherboard and if so will the fan come with the CPU/motherboard? Comes with the CPU

    3. Do I need any special tools or equipment to complete the build? A screwdriver at most

    4. Do I need to buy an anti static wrist strap to wear during the build? http://www.amazon.co.uk/LUPO-Anti-Static-Wrist-Strap-Grounding/dp/B004CS5WIG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1417638676&sr=8-2&keywords=earthing+wrist+band I built with and without, you can if you want. If working with carpet beneath you I would

    5. Is this build guide the correct/best one to follow? I haven't watched it:D

I know the above might be a bit OCD but I'm a believer in the fail to prepare, prepare to fail mantra!!

Just watching the vid, the case risers for the motherboard will probably be already installed in the case so one less thing to worry about if they are. And the CPU cooler will be a stock intel one so will come with the fan already mounted on it.

    That's deadly superg, appreciate it.

Did you mean to order the 4590 and not the 4690K? Because you won't be able to overclock that.

I had originally wanted to order the i5-4460 but when i went to place the order it was out of stock so i went for what seemed to be the next best option. I'm not interested in overclocking.

    Mistake?

Got it, I'm wasting money on a Z97 motherboard instead of a H97?

I could have gotten this H97 motherboard for €68 http://www.hardwareversand.de/en/DDR3/204433/Sale%3A+MSI+H97+PC+Mate%2C+Sockel+1150%2C+ATX.article but instead I went for this http://www.hardwareversand.de/en/DDR3/166012/Gigabyte+GA-Z97P-D3%2C+Sockel+1150%2C+ATX.article for €8 more but I don't want to spend an extra €35 on the 4690k on the off chance we'll want to over clock but if in future the young lad wants to install a faster 1150 sockel CPU with overclocking capability he can do so without having to change the motherboard. Probably stupid but it was only an extra €8.
