New or part worn tyres

I was reading an old thread in this forum about buying tyres in the North West. I see Martins Tyres in Lifford do part worn tyres for €35 each. I have a 2.0 TDI Passat that I'm going to be changing in April and I was considering getting these. I was wondering has anybody bought these and how did they find them. If I wasn't changing I would never consider them but as I'm going to be trading the car in in April so the garage is going to change them then anyway.

I have no experience of that particular tyre place in Lifford but please please please, ensure that the tyres they put on(even if it's part worn) are of a reputable brand. Your tyres are the only contact between the car and road thus is one area you shouldn't skimp on. (safety rant over;))

You know you are right. The more I think about it I'm thinking that at least with new tyres you know what you're getting you could get anything with the part worn ones I'll settle for the new ones I think.

I've used the place in Lifford twice - really nice tyres both times. No nonsense, in and out!
