plasma taking 5 minutes plus to warm up in the mornings?

We have a 42" LG plasma and it's normally fine during the day, but after being off all night, recently it's started taking at least 5 minutes of just showing a white screen and nothing else until (i guess) it warms up?

is this likely to be something simple to fix? I have it in my head that it might be possible to get it re-gassed or similar (no idea if this is right or not) to fix the problem?

    any thoughts?

There,s no such thing as re-gassing a plasma, that was just negative sales marketing BS from back in the day and is complete tosh.

Most likely, either the PSU or the control board has some failing or swollen capacitors which need to be replaced.
Depending on the age of the set and the availability of parts, this may or may not be cost effective to do.

No one is making plasma sets anymore, Panasonic were the last to exit the business about a year ago.
Its a shame really, as they were and still are the best in terms of picture quality.
They cost too much to manufacture though and could not compete in terms of consumer price with LCD sets.
Seems most dont care about quality, just about price.
