So I'm in the middle of going along with one of these scammers and was wondering if anyone knows a way to get one over on them?

    Through the power of prayer.

Or put money in an envelope & send it by post.

You're being scammed out of your time and effort if you're stringing one of these fools along.

There used to be a great thread before where a guy managed to get a scammer to send photos of himself holding unusual objects - like a chicken while sitting in a canoe. try that out for a laugh.

419 Scams is what you're looking for, great reading in it.

Yes. There's a really good book about how to deal with them - it explains how the scams work and how they should be countered - and even how to turn the tables on them.

PM me your bank details and for €5-99 it's yours ;)

Would I not need your bank details to send you the money?

Ah no, you're grand. If you just send me your details I'll sort it with your bank and don't worry I'll get your address from them and send the book on :D
