Silent practice - on a budget

I've been looking around for a little practice amp for playing guitar through headphones for quiet practice in the evenings.
My requirements would be headphone out, obviously, line-in for playing along to tracks, small, and cheap.

I see the Vox Amplug has gotten a few favourable reviews here and on other sites. Its portability is a big plus for me.

Anything else I should be considering?

If you have an iOS or Android phone or tablet, you could use the iRig to plug your guitar into it, and it has a headphone jack. You can play along with tracks on your phone.. The AmpliTube lets you add effects, amp modelling, etc - basically turning your phone or tablet into a little pedal board (don't stomp on it ;) ) .

The website doesn't do a good job of mentioning Android support, but there is an Android version of the App (http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/amplitubeandroid/)

I use it on an iPhone, and it works great.

Cheers - that looks useful, as I usually play along to tracks on my phone anyway, so it would be one less thing hanging off the guitar.

Roland cube? My friend has an iRig for bass, he likes it. Seems like a useful product.

Second hand line 6 pocket pod or equivalent Korg Pandora, maybe even a zoom multi effect with a pedal?
Dead handy for mucking about with headphones, battery powered, small enough to fit in your guitar bag and they all have amp & effect models, some have looper and drum patterns, the only danger is that you spend too much time messing with the effects and not enough playing!

Just to throw out another option, my wife got me a set of Vox Amphone Headphones for christmas. I have twin babies at home, so I need to practice silently pretty much exclusively.

They're battery powered, you plug them straight into your guitar, and they have some effects built in (reverb, chorus, delay), plus gain, volume and tone controls. They have an aux in too for running music through them while you're playing. Sound is pretty good, they're comfortable on the head, and I like them because they're completely self contained. I was finding using the iRig/iPhone setup a bit fiddly (although it has a lot more features than the Amphones).

I also have Vox VT-20 amp that has a headphone jack (and built in effects, aux in, etc) but I was finding that I wasn't inclined to take it out and set it up for headphone playing, so I just leave it for the rare occasions that I get to play out loud.
