Golf Buddy WT4 or Platinum

I'm hoping for a Golf Buddy WT4 from Santa but one of my playing partners strongly recommends the Golf Buddy Platinum instead. Apparently the price has come down enough to make it a consideration. He feels the bigger screen highlights all the hazards I'm so fond of finding. I'd value your collective pinions and comments.

The question is, would you prefer a watch gps or a handheld gps?
Both have their pros and cons, and as both are golfbuddy, course measurements and database will be the same.
I got the wt4 last week and if you look on the bushnell thread on the next page, you'll see a short review from me.

I have a platinum and am happy with its accuracy and ease of use. I find I rarely use it for hazards or to get a distance to a point on the fairway, primarily because I play mostly on my home course. It's all about the distance to the front, middle or back of the green. A drawback with it, is that to change holes automatically you should bring it to the next tee.

On holes where you leave it on your caddy car and walk back to the next tee you have to manually switch to the next hole. For this the watch is probably easier.

Yeah I was in the same boat, I knew I wanted a GPS but which one??? I went for the WT4, bought it on McGuirks online using code BUDGET2015 for €206 delivered (that was 3 weeks ago I'd say so code may not work or the price may be down again). Missus has it locked away now 'till the 25th  come on Christmas.

Here is a good review I found just now for the WT4 might help you make up your mind, http://www.golfblogger.com/index.php/golf/comments/golfbuddy_wt4_golf_watch_review/ having never seen or wore the WT4 I can't advise either way but I certainly am looking forward to Christmas morning.:D
