Hey guys, I have Co-Op starting May 2015 , which is the summer after i finish second year.
I was wondering what happens if I do not pass my second year exams, do I still go on Co-Op or what?

I have a friend who is currently on co-op even though she failed a second year module in the Winter exams. If you fail a module you just have to repeat it in the summer, while you're on co-op. I'm not sure what happens if you fail the year while on co-op though.

    I was in similar position.
You do your Summer Placement regardless, and if you have to do repeats, you still have to sit them in August. You'll know early September whether you've passed them or not.
If you fail, I imagine there's not much point continuing placement unless it still counts if you go back and repeat the module(s) you failed.
Luckily I wasn't in that position but was too close to it for my liking.

What if you are doing your coop abroad as in, outside Europe?

You would have to finish a small but early so as you will be back in time for the August repeats.

You mean that the coop would end once you return for your repeats? But I'd miss out basically the entire thing since my coop is 8 months long and we start at the end of May.

The placement wouldn't end, but you'd need to take time off to return to do the repeats (few people I know have had to do this). I've no idea what happens if you fail the repeats, but if you pass the repeats you just continue on with the placement.

Sorry I misread your post. In your case you will just need to take a a days holidays to do the exam. If you fail, I think they will let you finish your placement but you won't be allowed progress to semester 2 when you finish.
