What's the best treatment for this ? Foot bating a few times a week with formulin and trimming and putting on licocin wraps on anything swollen at the moment.

Serious problem with it here. Foot bathe once a week with "Ecolab Hoofsmart".
Does a very good job. The odd time have to bandage on CTC powder to a severe case. Haven't had to bandage one for months.
    Costs €100/month/100cows.

We foot bathe with 7% Formaldehyde with 1% peracetic acid. Do for 3 milkings emptying and refilling each milking.

We then follow with a Copper sulphate solution for 2 milkings.

We do this every 2 weeks

Very little Derma and good Mortellaro control. Any cases the flare up are also sprayed with form at milking

Dry cows and heifers go through bath every 2 weeks

If you want to know about feet go to the sheep men, they're experts

How do the heifers get contaminated?
    Using same housing as milkers?

Wellies. Brought a pair back from college in the UK 23 years ago most expensive pair of wellingtons in history.

Tom and Simon Brown run the cows through foot bath 365 days especially during dry period to find any sick cows

The person that can come up with a cure will be able to retire in comfort.

How long was the shed empty on the leased farm before you took it on?

Alamycin spray is good if used on early cases I find.

Run cows through the parlour here and give a blast of the wash down hose and then spray on intra foot with a packet of erythrocin mixed in, done once a week from december to march...works a treat as any cow thats coming down with it shows up straight away when washed down as their hoof shoots up and they leave it up

Do not mix form and par. Add par to form water solution
