Balancing CH radiator question

    Hi,

I'm just trying to balance my system to get a 12ºC drop between input and output pipes on each radiator. I have thermometers attached to both pipes, input fluctuates between 55ºC-65ºC whilst the output stays mostly at the 50ºC mark.

Question is, from where should I be trying to establish the 12ºC drop (55ºC or 65ºC)?

I'm obviously a total noob at this.

    Thanks in advance.

Start at the radiator that is closest to the boiler which will normally be the one to heat up first. Then work your way through the others, you will need to go around a few times to set the temperatures close to what is required. I would not be too concerned about the exact temperatures initially as it may take a few attempts to get it right. If the last radiator gives too high a temperature reading then look to turning the boiler stat down slightly, measure the flow and return temperatures at the boiler.
