Hi Folks, my mother is in hospital in St Johns and is not eating the hospital food, is there any where near that you would recommend for a takeaway dinner. Not looking for chipper stuff , a proper dinner .

O'Neill's Shop at the top of William Street is not too far.

The Horse and Hound does takeaway dinners. It's probably the best around in terms if what you're looking for!

Why not cook it at home if you are going to get it from a pub or similar? cheaper, better control of ingredients and far tastier.

Don't have dinner until getting home from hospital, travel straight to visit her after work and just get there for visiting time so don't have time to cook it myself.

    Will try horse and hound
