    machine is 7/8 years old
noticed clothes were still wet after last few washes.
also noticed LED display flashing whilst wash was on.
read manual and it said to try cleaning pump filter and emergency hose.
I did and it was bad!!!! coins hair pins and gunk !
tried a wash this morning and when filling water flowed from bottom of machine.
I cleaned detergent drawer and then poured 4 pints of water into it and that also came straight out the bottom ???
have I done something wrong when cleaning filter and hose ?

Sounds like one of the hoses connecting the filter to the drain has come detached, you'll need to look under it and reattach it.

it is DEFINITELY coming out around the filter area alright
so I pull out machine ,tip it back and see ?
or does it have to be opened up?
what does the emergecy hose actually attach to ? I've a feeling this is the problem. I removed it fully when cleaning .....and then pushed it back in

The pump has about 4 different hoses attached to it with strong clips around each one.
You may have just pushed the hose back on without securing the clip, probably need a pliers or the like to open the clip by grabbing both ends.
Once you find them you'll understand.

The "emergency hose" is attached to the base of the pump housing & it has the lightest clip of all that be reattached using your fingers.

The "emergency hose" has a tendency of coming off the filter housing if touched, try pulling out the hose again and see if its attached, if its not it will come right out, reconnection is just a matter of tipping machine back and reconnection.
