Japan Cup at 6:55. Gentildonna going for 3 in a row. Thoughts?

Tough to win 3 in a row.

Thought Harp Star was given an awful ride in the Arc but still only lost by 4 and a half lengths. In Japan she's looked incredible and with only a handful of starts can improve further. This trip stretches Just a Way for me and the European challengers have a bit to find against the best of the Japanese who have proven they can produce top class middle distance horses. Don't have a clue about the rest to be honest but I think Harp Star looks a decent bet at 4/1.

Interesting that Andrew McNamara gets down to 10-9 (lowest riding weight in the last 12 months) to ride Dai Bando in the 12.30 at Fairyhouse. His only ride of the day as well. 10/1 a big price.

    Drinmore

    The Tullow Tank
    Valseur Lido
    Apache Stronghold

seem to be the trio to concentrate on, is it worth taking on the increasingly short favourite with Valseur Lido or Apache?

What's everyone on in the next? Mullins favorite is very short for a horse making his debut over hurdles on first run for 381 days. If pushed for a bet I would say Tandem e/w at 10/1 but it should be interesting viewing.

Saddlers Risk a good e/w bet in the Drinmore. 33/1 a massive price for him.

doubling up Barry G's two runners today :D

Can get 4.9 for Aerlite Supreme to place (4), jumped well LTO and with Barry on board I think this is a decent place bet

Too many questions for some at the top of the market, either first time over fences or over trip which is too short

That's awful news, I read he broke a bone in his pelvis and this severed an artery, poor horse.

Shame we didn't get to see the best of him.

My luck stays the same. Poor horse tho.

€300k gone in a career that lasted seconds. Horse racing can be a cruel sport.

Any views on Apache Stronghold today? The winner looks very good but I felt AS is screaming out for the 3 miles afterwards.. jumping could have been better though...

The horse to take from today definitely has to be Real Steel. Raced prominent throughout, jumped so left that he was nearly off the track at one point yet still plugged on when passed for a fine 3rd. Given his record, all wins have been left-handed, the 3m novice race at Leopardstown looks ideal for him.
