€300 budget for budget gaming PC?

It's been ages since I last built a PC or played games so I have no idea how much components cost these days. Is it possible to get a half decent gaming PC for €300? I don't need a monitor or speakers. It would be mainly for online stuff like world of warcraft or league of legends...I've no interest in FPS games which I'd imagine required more powerful hardware. Any advice on what I could get for that kind of cash?

You said you built one before so you have a knowledge of parts.Go to http://www.hardwareversand.de/en/ and use the Pc Configuration option to mess around with parts you need. I think €300 euro is taking the mick tbh even trying to play an old game like WoW you need everything bar a monitor/speakers?Second hand may be an alternative.

Something to note with wow, it may be "old" but the requirements go up with each expansion.

Do you have an operating system? Without it would be impossible for your budget. With an OS you still need a motherboard, PSU, GPU, CPU, case and ram.

You could maybe manage with cheap parts but it will struggle with wow on the lowest settings if there's many people around.

Unless you up your budget the second hand market is your only option. WoW is a 10 year old game but as the other poster said it has had graphical updates even the newest expansion i believe.

It can be done...ish, no OS, keyboard, mouse, etc however.

There's no point using certain cheap parts, as you need a solid core for upgrading - no point cheaping out on processor, power supply, etc, when these should last you quite a long time.

This build would run most games well at 720p highish settings and would be fine for WoW I would imagine - and comes in at just under €330 delivered. If you could stretch to €350 you could include a GTX750 which would play games at 1080p high settings. Dabs have codes until the 1st, you can get €10 off the build which brings it to €320 delivered.

Or this. You can drop the graphics card to something else (like a 750) if it's too much. Better processor (when overclocked) and more RAM. Much better PSU too.

That would come to over €400 with shipping though.

Also...the VS350 is much better than the EVGA White 430w 80+?

Actually it still comes in just under €400 with shipping, but as I said, he can drop the graphics card to something cheaper to save quite a bit of money.

And apologies, I took the recommended add-on as the PSU you'd picked. Thought it was a bundled item or something.

I would LOVE to know how many of those Alpine PSU's they sell versus what they get back. The amount of people who don't know better who must buy them - they'd be mostly alright in office type machines, but I reckon loads of people buying gaming PC's buy them without realising. The Alpine 500/700/750w models, all of which weigh about less than half what a normal PSU would weigh and cost 13/15/17 euro.

I have used the Alpine Gold 600W model a few times, that one is actually OKish, but that said I wouldn't dream of putting more than about 250-280w load on it.
