If anyone could help would really appreciate it, I know its a low budget and have no idea of what to buy between memory, processor and graphics cards and need to get it in pcworld, harvey normans, argos or somewhere like that in Limerick...completely lost as not into games myself but my nephew is an excellent young nerd :) and dont want to dissapoint him! He likes Steam games but the lag is up to half an hour on a laptop Compaq Presario CQ58...

Sadly you won't get a laptop that can play games in a shop in Limerick for under 500 euro.

    Below is what you need.

    350 delivered for a Core I3, 4gb ram, GT 840M graphics card.

    amazon.de/Lenovo-Notebook-GeForce-Brenner-Betriebssystem/dp/B00KCJAI1A/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417267805&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=lenovo+gt+840m

Hi myrns ... I'm buying the same laptop as above. Just to let you know, it probably uses a german keyboard ... which means the y and z (aswell as a few other keys) are in a different location.. but this can be changed in the settings... also you can use keyboard stickers to rearrange the keys in the correct location / or buy a replacement US format keyboard for about 15e on ebay

Hi FocusFord, thanks for the info, appreciate it! I would've been clueless on that! I'll just try rearranging them then, thanks again! :)

If your not really into pc's and don't want any hassle I would get a Dell or something.

The laptop I posted needs windows installed as well and like Focus said has a german keyboard. It's not ready out of the box.

Dell have a really decent Core i5, 8gb ram, gt 840 graphics card, 1tb hdd for 527 euro delivered.

It's more powerful than the one off amazon.de and you ready to play out of the box.

I would get this laptop here, it's a good and plenty powerful.

    dell.com/ie/p/inspiron-17-5748-laptop/pd?oc=cn74822&model_id=inspiron-17-5748-laptop

Dell are giving 12% off at the moment when use the coupon code 8$84W8J58ZXDM6. Offer valid until 01 Dec. 2014

    Fantastic

That's was a brillant deal, a decent gaming laptop for 330 euro, those kind of offers don't come around often.

Laptop is up to 450 euro on Amazon.de which is still a good price compared to other stuff there.

I have to laugh, thanks to how good the amazon.de laptop is, I've got other teenies wanting to order the same - but price gone up like you said Thierry! ;) Will try the other suggestions for outta-the-box! :)
