Closest/best resorts from Munich?

    Thinking of doing a trip with a few friends in January, probably flying in and out of Munich. Which are the best/closest resorts to Munich? Have done Munich to Soll a few times, and found it v do-able in both train and taxi. What are the nxt best options?

    Garmisch direct train or change in garmisch and head to ehrwald / lermoos. Great skiing in the zugspitze arena imo.

    There are tons of options within two hours of Munich, man_no_plan has given you some train options, there are probably a good few others that can be done by train as well

    Check out jet2ski for a break down of resorts within a given distance of airports

    Mayrhofen for a week or Garmisch for a weekend are the best options

    someone a a couple of seasons ago mentioned oberstdorf was an hour or so from memmingen by bus you might need some german though
