Anyone ever lose an important iron in their set?
Did you replace it with the same or buy a new set?
Lost a scoring iron today looking on ebay for a replacement.

If the set is still in production just give serial number to pro shop and they'll order a club.

Its a TM mc previous version so wouldn't be available. Saw 3 TM mc blades 8,9,pw tempted but don't know what advantage a bladed scoring iron would bring, probably more harm than good.

Wrapped my G20 9iron around a tree in Esker Hills last year, 9 iron important to me so serial number and waited for replacement, lucky it was December so a wait wasn't an issue. Have left a club at a tee a few times but just went back and got it, annoying but happens

Any time i thought i lost a club it always got handed in or turned up after a couple of days. I wouldnt buy a replacement just yet, i find fellow golfers are usually pretty decent people.

I would have to disagree - with that model a lot of people chose a split set ie 4-7 as the mc and 8-PW as the mb. I used to have a similarly split set of Tileist 735cm's and the scoring UBS were lovely to hit

I just couldn't imagine their would be much difference in feel because TM mc are also forged.

Exactly, I currently use the 735's and love them.
Nearly all golfers use a blade for their wedges and aren't intimidated by it, adding an 8 & 9 on top isn't a massive leap.

Just to clarify, when you said TP MC blades I was assuming you meant the TP MB(muscle back) - are you talking about the model with the little hexagonal cog in the back?

I lost a TM mc but was going to replace it with a TM mb, they're both forged.
I was wondering if it was any advantage to the blade seeing feel would be similar.

MBs will feel better, I'd go for it if u can get them for a reasonable price. I have the TP mc's myself and if I had bought new I would have got the 8-PW in the mb's :)

I lost a putter around the third green in Woodstock in Ennis once, I was playing a matchplay and was 3 down after having 8 putts, on the forth I couldn't find the putter so improvised with an iron, ended up draining a putt from ~10 feet, didn't 3 putt at any stage in the round even though my opponent wasn't giving me anything cause I was using an iron. I ended up winning on the 16th, happy out. We just playing out the 17th & 18th, I birdie both with decent putts. After the match my opponent went into the pro shop and came out with my putter (which had been handed in), he gave it to me and said "if you had that I would have won easily".

Sorry if off topic, but this thread reminded me on this.

Just to add to this, I also have the TM TPs with the MC in irons 2-4 and the MB in irons 5-PW. Really like the MBs, there's not a hugh difference in feel since they're both forged but the MB head is slightly smaller and shorter which I find gives me added confidence in getting to the back of the ball in rough grass. If I was to go again I'd consider all MBs but was a bit nervous of the small and somewhat unforgiving head in the longer irons.

Should have taken the 8 & 9 out of the plastic before shooting the photo as I initially thought they looked very dented. Will you get head covers for them to prevent bag clatter and dings?
Well wear and good luck with the clubs, they're the same I have and really like them, initially I was disappointed they didn't do the same head in a 52 and 58 degree but eventally got the ATV and have learned to like them although not to the same degree as the irons.

Well spotted doc. Had neoprene covers but it's hard to keep them. Probably introduce one at a time in case I'm pulling fillet steaks off the fairways. My cleveland 52 works well
