    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NUB3530?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

I had this card in my basket keeping an eye on the price for the last month or so and see today it drop to it's lowest price ever (checked on the camelizer) of £80.99 (£83 to Ireland or €108.83 paid in EUR).

This card uses the new U3 technology and is the highest quality card available from Sandisk. I haven't really looked into competing brands as I know Sandisk to be one of the highest quality makes.

    WTF:eek:

For real world applications, what's so special about it when compared to say something like this?

I think it's only useful for 4k video.
Otherwise, this version will do nicely.

Is this the same but cheaper or am I missing something?

Yeah the 4k ready thing will be nice, although I'm sure by the time 4k becomes more common among new devices, the price on the card will have dropped. I went for it anyway, it will give a faster speed over all, for accessing, writing etc, whether THIS speed is needed and at that cost, I'm not sure :o

Excellent card if you have a GoPro Hero 3-4 Black edition

It's like the high speed cards for cameras - it can make a big difference to a pro where time = money and even to some amateurs who don't consider their free time "free".

The time it takes to copy 32gb+ of data from a card can be quite considerable although diminishing returns are in play (as ever) - and you could just put the kettle on and wait. Most current cameras probably can't make use of the write speed yet and the price will possibly have dropped further before they can.

Looks decent alright, but I usually get my SD cards from here, for example:
    http://www.7dayshop.com/products/7dayshop-rapid-pro-sdxc-uhs-1-memory-card-45mb-s-128gb-class-10-DS-077

    Thats £30 odd for a 128GB SD Card (Class 10, UH1, 45MB/s read(?) speed)
