My one died also and i found out that the brushes were worn away. New pair of brushes in the local builders providers for about €20 if my memory serves correctly.

Did you take the o rings of the old and refit them.
Sometimes the prongs can pucker up inside the connections

I left the O rings in the hole so removed them and refitted..

Ok so simple enough, while its still fresh in my head....

You need a flat head + philips head screw driver, a size 8 wrench, surgical gloves, and some towels.

    1. isolate power - turn off the power switch and the trip switch in the fuse box.

    2. remove cover, and remove the LED power cable.

    3. turn off water using the inlet filter (number 8 in pic), turning clock wise. (see manual)

    4. unscrew the screws just above the inlet filer and the two screws on the casing.

    5. remove casing

    6. Put on surgical gloves, and using the towel, wipe any excess water from the area, amd your gloves, tools and the shower unit.

    7. Using the wrench, undo the earth wire situated next to the mains power, there are two bolts to remove, you may need to gently prise the first earth away from the bar, using a flat head screw driver.

    8. Once removed, gently prise the pump away from the inlet filter, double checking it has the O rings attached, if not remove them.

    9. Get the replacement pump and push it into place, it should click in, with a small bit of force, be careful no excess water has gotten onto the gloves so use the towel on before putting your gloves on the unit.

    10. Reconnect the earth the same way you took it off the old pump.

    11. Reopen the inlet valve.

    12. Bleed the pump using wheel at the side of the pump, until you hear a hiss, then close the bleed valve.

    13. put the cover back in place and reconnect the power LED.

    14. Turn on mains power and shower power.

    15. Turn on shower, it will take 4 - 5 seconds for the water to come out.

    Job done.
