    I was watching QI last night on Dave, a show I love, and there was this Irish bloke on it. Some smug unfunny guy with a beard and long fluffy dark hair. I have no idea who the hell he is, but **** me, he was so annoying I had to switch over.

    I'm neither a fan nor a hater, but I think Tubs would be funnier, more interesting, more often, with the right show.

    The Late Late Show format is as dead as a doornail, and he seems to have the role of undertaker.

    David O'Doherty's style probably isn't all that suited to the panel show format but live he's a seriously funny man. The absolute worst is Darren Kennedy-he gets on tv solely because he's gay because, y'know, gay guys know about fashion and stuff. Zero charisma, zero talent, smarmy, self-absorbed, shallow and his suits are fcking disgusting.

    You're not wrong there. Saw him live once, and he was definitely a cut above some of the mediocre dross that passes for comedy these days.

    Let's just say the list of annoying people on Irish TV is a very, very long one.. was going to agree with the OP that it was Lucy Kennedy but then I thought of Jennifer McGuire and then I remembered Darren Kennedy (whoever commissioned that show with the two of them in it is obviously trying to hurry up the apocalypse). If I had to choose one, 'genuinely,' it would be Miriam O'Callaghan. Talentless, clueless, fake... where do I stop? Why RTE expects to be taken seriously for its current affairs when it asks her to front Prime Time is a mystery.

    This may be..and in fact I'd prob like her in 'real life'. But she is not suited to TV IMO. She talks over everyone, makes smarmy sarcastic comments to the point of belittling many of her guests and then feigns stupid disbelief at the rest! The mind boggles how she got the gig..
