GigaBlue HD or VU+

    Hi,
    As above, I'm looking to get a sat box for sitting room, I've it narrowed down to basically these two options, GigaBlue HD 800 SE Plus V2 and the VU+ Solo. Which is better basically. These are currently retailing at more or less similar prices and I'm not going for better models because these are upwards of €2-300. I appreciate any feedback.

    the gigablue has the better spec and is faster but the solo has a long track record. you can have 2 tuners in gigablue but only one in solo, ie a sat tuner and a dtt tuner. I am sure someone on here has both and can give a better breakdown.

    I've the gigablue have say is been rock solid since I got it, running satellite and cable flawlessly.

    The GigaBlue HD 800SE PLUS is the better machine. Good fast receiver too.

    You should also have a look at the Golden Interstar Xpeed LX2

    Its getting good reports and is supported by OPENVIX and OPEN ATV teams.

    The Combo can be got for around €170 delivered.
