Irish Ferries minimum boarding time in Dublin tomorrow AM?

Due to fog in London City I *may* have to get the boat over tomorrow instead of flying. I'm going to be checking the early morning departures around 0630/0730 to get a vibe for whether flights later in the AM will be running or not. It looks like maybe 5% (no not 50%, 5%) of flights got into LCY for the entire day today and there's a possibility it will be the same again tomorrow morning.

I know the Jonathan Swift departs 0845, but can anyone advise (based on actual experience) what time I can arrive at, buy a sail/rail ticket and still be reasonably confident of boarding? If it comes down to it I would aim to be there for 0800 which should be plenty of time from what I remember from years back.

So, is it reasonable to rock up in a taxi at 0800 and expect to be on the Swift leaving 45 minutes later?

Hopefully the fog will have lifted and I won't need to take the boat. I know there are flights, but they are getting more and more expensive and if LCY is fog bound there's a possibility the other London airports could be hit too. At least I *know* the boat will get me there.

[edit - one reason for asking is that I reckon I've seen the ferries heading out across the bay earlier than scheduled on occasion, although it is possible that my watch is wrong.]

I ended up flying instead, but as I was coming along Strand Road at about 0845 I could see the Swift out in the bay, so it looks like the 0845 departure is a little variable at least.
