    For Galway-based coffee lovers:

    (From Badger and Dodo's website)

"This Thursday we are launching our new cafe Badger & Dodo Fairgreen Road . From 4;30-7 we're opening up our place to anyone interested in coffee or what we do. From baristas to businessmen, you are all welcome. We'll have tasters, some food and drink, but really, we just want to show off what we do best, and our stunning machinery ! At 7 we head up the Eye Cinema to watch "A film about coffee" - a must see film about the finest side to coffee and coffee production. It's free to come to our even, but to buy tickets to the film, and learn more about it, visit http://www.afilmaboutcoffee.co.uk/#home"

I am thinking of going as i haven't been to the shop yet, and the movie sounds cool too. Time to find out where the Eye Cinema is..

Didn't know Badger and Dodo had a new cafe in Galway, so that's great news.

Went yday to the launch and film.

Launch was cool, Brock who owns Badger and Dodo showed me their equipment, made an aeropress and chatted about roasting. Then two other sound dudes showed me their wicked espresso machine and made me a lovely espresso machine. Lastly, tried out a Dungarvan brew which they provide the coffee for.

Absolute gentlemen, a great addition to Galway!

We then wandered over to check out the film. It was great! Very well shot and put together, and some interesting characters. An eye-opening look at the whole coffee process, from planting all the way to drinking. It'll make ya think about what goes on, the next time you drink a cup! And at 1 hour did not drag on at all, was over quickly even. Extra bonus points cos it features a couple of cafes from Tokyo which I had been too, which was very cool.

Would recommend checking it out in Dublin/elsewhere if you have a chance!
