Saxo bank have 0% on ten NASDAQ stocks for this week only. They opened the NASDAQ on Monday and to celebrate gave this deal.
The stocks include, Apple, Google, GoPro, Baidu, Amazon, Facebook, Yahoo, Priceline, Netflix and Tesla.

Hopefully this in time gets extended and then becomes the norm, but I doubt it.

Zero commission trading has been done before, and it was open to Irish people. When Zecco started off they charged zero commission, it changed after a while in that you had to have a minimum amount in your account otherwise you were charged $4.95 per trade, eventually went to $4.95 per trade irrespective of balance, taken over by TradeKing who kept the charges at $4.95 but no longer take new Irish clients (I think).

Hopefully Robinhood can stay independent and others join them in zero commission trading, but I would have my doubts, there are some fairly serious players out there who have a vested interest in seeing trading charges continue so I'd expect that there will be attempts to take them out. Hope I'm wrong.
