Missing tiles or shoddy workmanship?

Moved into a new home earlier this year and recently spotted something strange when cleaning moss off the sunroom roof. I can't tell if there are some tiles missing or if someone was taking shortcuts when the roof was put on. In any case there's a fairly small hole with some rainwater damage below. I can't see any damage…

In any case there's a fairly small hole with some rainwater damage below. I can't see any damage inside the room so hopefully it's a recent development. Should I attempt a fix myself or is a bigger investigation by a professional needed?

There's definitely a couple of hip tiles missing, possibly storm damage, have a look around your garden/ yard and see if you can find the tiles or what's left of them.
