Channel 4 almost seems like a parody of itself at this stage.

Do they do anything other than document misery these days?

    It's depressing

Yeah, in a hotel with little option so watching it. Kinda sad, people like that don't seem to experience much of life.

But then again seem happy to wander their own streets as long as they have a few bob for booze and fags so I suppose, as long as they're happy and it doesn't cost the rest of us, then best of luck to them

Yeh it's obsessed with people who are on benefits. It's actually a very tabloidy station compared to way back when it was kinda artsy (with a porny bit one late night every week I believe).

To be fair they have been doing some great music documentaries this year, every Wednesday at 12am. Last week it was about the psychedelic punk scene in Glasgow during the 80's.

Bar that one late night slot everything else is pretty grim though.

Channel Four used to be such a good station.

C4 News is still excellent, and Dispatches.

Hard to find any good home produced programmes after that of the standard they had regularly 10 or so years ago or more.

Thankfully BBC4 came along and BBC2 also beats it much of the time.

Jesus, even for AH, that comment is pretty callous.
Whatever your opinion of Charlene, she was only young. She is now paralysed from the neck down and will never walk again.

She should have been left on the side of road to die. Joyriders deserve no sympathy from anyone.

That's one of the nastiest posts on Ah quite frankly.

In all honesty it would have done her a big favour as well as society at large.

I don't agree with the sentiment but it's important to remember that many families have lost lived ones or had people crippled for life due to the actions of joyriders.

What happened to the lads who killed the woman out walking in raheney years ago?
    They all died painful deaths

I agree with you(have no love for them myself having endured years and years of cars being rallied up and down my road and lost my garden wall to them at one point ) but that girl has a family too(and despite her being whatever you want to class her as)they now are left with a severely disabled daughter to care for. As I said in a previous post, utter stupidity on her part getting into the car but no point in laying into her now. She has paid her dues, and then some.
