Paypal claim - what next?

I ordered goods from a company in the UK on 7th October.

Never saw sight nor light of them, phoned loads of times and got batted to touch - they're with the courier, you need to leave 3 weeks for delivery, etc etc. - and that was when I managed to get through to someone at all.

Eventually on 3rd November I opened a dispute with PayPal (for the first time, so I'm utterly clueless as to how this goes).

I sent one, and then a second, email which are listed as having been forwarded to the company. There has been no response from them whatsoever.

I had to wait a period before escalating it to a claim (can't remember the exact date), which I did as still no contact from anyone.

Last I heard PayPal were waiting until 24th November (yesterday) for a response from the seller. Needless to say, response there was none.

I haven't heard from PayPal as of this morning, the claim is still at the "awaiting response from seller" stage on the website, despite the date for that having passed.

What can/do I do next? Is there any way of contacting PayPal to see what's happening with the claim, or does it all roll on eventually of its own accord? I'm conscious that there have been "deadline" dates all through the dispute/claim process, and I'm afraid that I'll pass one unwittingly and that'll be the end of my claim.

It's a relatively small amount of money I'm disputing, but I'm so furious with the company and their (complete lack of) customer service that I want to press for a refund.

Any information from someone familiar with the claims process would be very welcome.

TL;DR - PayPal claim has passed the latest deadline for response from seller, no word from PayPal - what can/do I do next?

I've had to use the paypal dispute process a few times and each time they were very fair and professional.

Providing you've complied with the timelines they provide then it will come to resolution effectively.

Once your paypal dispute gave no resolution and seller's response deadline has passed - log on to your paypal account and escalate dispute to a claim. Describe you paid, got no stuff you paid for, got no answer from a scammer seller etc...

Cheers, I had already done that - the deadline for response from the seller regarding the claim had passed yesterday, and I'd heard nothing, which is why I was posting wondering what to do next.

Of course, during the day an email came saying that they'd found in my favour and a refund will issue - so the post is redundant now! (with quite a bit of t&c's bumph attached, so I hope it really is that simple!)

But thanks for the replies anyhow. Much appreciated :)

    No prob. :)

So, if seller's deadline for reply to claim has passed, it's time now for paypal to decide whether to refund you or not. It's approx 3 days IIRC and you'll get your money back.
