Had a bit of a shock today - as I was crossing at pedestrian lights (with green man), a car came speeding up on the wrong side of the road and nearly took me and a woman with kids also crossing out. Thankfully he just screeched to a halt in time and then went speeding off on wrong side of road again - line of traffic his side so just didn't want to wait I guess, or maybe car was stoen. Reported it to the local garda station but I didn't catch the reg and no cameras on the road so not much they can do really. Just curious if anybody knows of other ways of alerting road users about someone driving dangerously or any suggestions? I was seriously worried he'd kill or seriously injure someone. Thanks.

Without a reg you're wasting your time.

I'd always report it, you may be a corroborating witness.

If nothing else, you may be able to give the Gardai a known time/location for someone they are looking for that would aid in the capture and recovery.

I know that if my car were nicked, I'd love for someone to report even a partial sighting.
