Apple itunes destroying my life

my apple ID has my ipod touch, ipad, Iphone 5s and up untill this weekend my iphone 4s registered to it. I have upgraded my 4s to 5c and synced the new phone yesterday. This is where it all went wrong. The new phone is not appearing in devices so I cant registerit. and the itunes library has all the icloud symbols beside…

The new phone is not appearing in devices so I cant registerit. and the itunes library has all the icloud symbols beside it so I cant use it if in airplane mode using bluetooth. I have never had an issue with upgrading before but this one is nightmarish! any ideas as to what to do to get itunes to find this new phone.
