Getting from city centre to the RDS?

What bus can I get from the City Centre to take me to the RDS? I usually get off my bus at Bachelors Walk and take the 145/36a to UCD.
I tried using the route planner on the Dublin Bus website but its confusing me :rolleyes:

How much time should I give myself to get from the city centre from the RDS to be on time for a 9am exam?

7 bus from O'Connell Street drops you directly outside. Alternatively get a DART to Sandymount and walk from there (5-10 minute walk).
For the bus at that time, I'd leave a minimum of one hour purely because it's for an exam .

If I had to choose I'd get the DART as it won't be affected by road traffic.
Also don't forget to check if it's Anglesea Road or Simmonscourt you're in. So many people make that mistake each year!

The timetable says I'm in Shelbourne Hall for all of them, but doesn't specify a road?

It does. It's on Anglesea Road. Generally (but not always), the summer exams are in Simmonscourt, and the Christmas exams are in the main RDS.

Just prepare yourself to arrive early on December 10th, due to water charge protests. These may cause disruption to the buses heading towards the RDS.
