Sounds like he needs to claim off their small accident fund. Just write them a letter of what happened along with his bus ticket and he'll receive a cheque for €1500-€2000 within two working weeks.

Did he report the incident to the driver before he disembarked?

If he wasn't holding on to a hand rail they won't give anything. Doesn't mean a court wouldn't find them at fault...... But really?

    He could pursue a claim.

Sounds like he would be better off taking some paracetamol though.

Seriously do we go through the courts now for a sore elbow and a little back pain. (From your post it sounds trivial)

I'm submitting a claim for the pain this obvious trolling and inevitable deluge of compo culture seagull 'contributors' is going to cause me. OP please PM me your name and address.

It would be pretty hard to track down the CCTV. Friend of mine was sexually assaulted on a bus a few years ago and she just about managed to get the footage before it was wiped after the Gardai requested it two days later.

If he's relying on the company to supply CCTV evidence from several nights ago expect...

    'Sorry bud. It got wiped.'

How does he plan on making contact with one of the witnesses?

Did his mum not kiss him better?

How is compensation required? How is his left being affected?

There is nothing like online legal advice to show you that you should never seek online legal advice.
