    Hi Folks,
The heat up light that comes on before starting the car usually takes 10-15 seconds before going out but recently since the cold weather has come in it comes on and goes out instantly and sometimes takes a couple of attempts to turn over.

My first diesel car do no idea whats going on or anything I should do to help rather than amage the engine, any thoughts?

    Cheers

You need to get it on a scanner to see whats going on. 10-15 seconds sounds a bit too long given the mild weather up to recent days.

Possibly the temp sensor given a false reading. Without seeing what's going it's just guessing.
