I'm not sure if I'm in correct forum for this. Anyway friend of mine came back from England after 3 years and a question popped up regarding his licence which I had no answer to. He was on his second provisional licence before he left for England but while there never drove a car. His licence is out of date near 2 years…

How does he go about getting his provisional back?
I'm assuming he may have to apply for his full licence straight away or perhaps repeat his provisional test?

He has to apply for a test. Take the letter with him as prove to a local ndls centre and he'll be issued a 3rd one year learner permit.
