mods move if in wrong section pls.

hi guys. ive a zanussi dryer ZDE26610w 6kg.

the drum belt broke so i ordered in a new one. fitted the new drum belt.tensioned it fully.turned the drum and it felt good, not to easy to turn.

problem now is it cant turn with too many damp clothes in it. it will turn with max 6 objects of small clothes. so taking forever to dry 1 load.
    :(

it cant handle a towel or two, where as before it wasnt a problem to it.

is this just a case of new belt being too long and shop ordered in the wrong one.

the belt i got was a multi v belt. 1975H7 POL 54. thats whats printed on the bag.
yet on the belt itself it says POL 54 1975H. no 7. does this mean its been packed wrong or is the missing 7 an issue?

    thanks all.

Are you saying that the drum stops turning when there is too much in it?
If so, does the motor continue to run and the belt is slipping, might just need more tensioning.

I suspect that the part number is correct but just written differently on the label.

you probably put the tensioner on wrong

grab the belt and see what it does

did you buy the right size belt

the old one has the size written on it

with the cover off see if the drum moves

The belt needs to come from the under side of the drum (LHS) across to the guide wheel, route clockwise around it and then down to the ribbed drive rotor, anti-clockwise around that and the up the RHS of the drum. In order to achieve that, the motor casing (DON'T FORGET TO UNPLUG THE DRYER!) needs to be rotated anti-clockwise against the spring tension putting the guide wheel in about the 10 o'clock position, rather than the 12 o'clock position that it naturally sits in.

Yes that's what's happening. But I can't tension it anymore.that's why I think the belt might be too long.

I gave the product, model and serial number to electricity. There's no number on old belt that was d first thing I've checked. Will try your advice tomor morning before I go back to shop to double check its d right belt.

Sounds like tensioner, when on right you should be able to turn motor pulley and the drum will turn.
