quick question about capacitor!

hey, hope this makes sense..

i've got a device with a series of capacitors and one of them was pushed high enough off the pcb that i can see one of the pins is no longer connected to its housing. the rest lay flush with the board.

my question is: if i push the capacitor back down onto the pins, would that be okay? or is it already damaged enough to warrant a replacement?

its a small cap with low resistance for voltage regulation, i know how they function, just not very sure if i'd get away with the above

If the pins have come away from the board and there's no visible damage to the cap you should get away with soldering it back down.
However, if the pins have come out of the cap pushing it back onto the pin isn't a good option.

Caps are cheap so you'd be better off swapping it out with a new one
