If you could put your consciousness now into a younger you at a specific time in your life how do you think it would affect the outcome?

    For me 2 situations stand out as times which defo would have benefited from such;

    1. the first time I had a naked girl in front of me. The 20 yr older me(not in a creepy peado way) would not have been so scared.........

    2. the time my metalwork teacher hit me across the back of my head for a silly mistake that did not warrant the action. This in a time where hitting students was NOT allowed. Still get angry about that.

    What about you?

Growing up everyone told me to 'Follow my dreams' and to find a career I enjoyed.

If I could go back and do it again - I'd forget all that crap. I'd go for the money.

I haven't liked any of the jobs I've had; but having the money to afford a nice lifestyle makes the crappy job bearable. I'm never going to be an athlete or a famous rock star, short of that, any job I get is going to be something I'd rather not be doing. I'd rather get paid a lot and have a great time when I'm not at work.

Most of these things you good people posted are just things you would do different.

what im asking is specific situations where the 20/30/40 more yrs you've had since the situation would change the outcome...........

I'm only 20 so I guess I wish I fell asleep on the couch more often so that my parents would have to carry me into my bed more. Never a better feeling than waking up in bed when you know you were asleep on the couch :pac:

I'm only 18 and I already know I'll die full of regret.
I'd probably tell a younger me never to induce vomiting, it's addictive and disgusting and utterly unattractive darling.
I'd study more for the leaving cert. Got my first choice but was well capable of almost 600.
Don't make friends with her, the toxic relationship will kill you inside.
    Make friends, you haven't many.

You could do with a few more years before answering the question.

Don't allow yourself to get chubby.
Don't pick that course, or that university.
Don't be so well behaved all the time, it only causes you to be naive and sheltered.
Don't go out with him - the nice memories won't make up for the shítty ending.
Don't give up on everything so easily.

    :(
