Does anyone know if the bank will do a chargeback on money sent to wrong paypal account?

Paypal said they can request the money back but that's as far as they will go!

What can you see on the transaction status? if Unclaimed I think you can cancel it yourself

    thanks for the money

go to the resolution centre and make the claim under "item not received

    1. Log in to your PayPal account.
    2. Go to the Resolution Center.
    3. Click Dispute a Transaction.
    4. Select the transaction you want to dispute, and then click Continue.
    5. Select I have a problem with an item I purchased or I want to report a transaction that I didn't authorize.
    6. Click Continue.
    7. Follow the instructions to finish opening your dispute

I think you can do a charge back the only problem is that PayPal won't ever deal with you again and you won't be able to set up another PayPal account.

I'm not sure how it happened but the person that got the money has the same name as the person I meant to send it to.
€140, it was sent as a gift so paypal not that helpful(I was on the phone to them)

PayPal tried yesterday but there was no answer.
I have no idea who this person is.

If you log in to your PP account and go to transaction details , you should find all contact details of the person you paid money to including an email address

So after a few calls, today PayPal said they'll refund me the Money within 10 days.
First they said it was my fault so they couldn't do nothing about it only ask the person that received it to give it back.

I told them I copied the email address from my contacts and pasted onto Paypal when sending the money.

They then said that it was impossible to copy and paste, that I had to enter e-mail address manually.

I said it is not impossible because that's exactly what I done.
It was on the iPhone app.
He said ok but warned me that if they found I put the email address in manually, then the case would be closed.
He then put me on hold and came back 5 minutes later and said they put a hold on the money and that they would refund me.
