Graduate Recruiters

    Hey,

I will be graduating from a degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering next year (available to work from mid summer 2015). I'm on the lookout for graduate jobs and it is taking up quiet a bit of my time.

I am wondering would it be beneficial to submit my CV to a recruitment agency? Will they match me with suitable jobs? What are the downsides to going through a recruiter?

I'm interested in going anywhere in the world for a job really - Europe would be nice, or Scotland or even the US. Are there recruiters that deal specifically with certain regions? And are recruiters that deal specifically with Engineers?

    Any info appreciated! :)

I wouldn't tar all agencies with the the same brush, some are better than others suffice to say. It helps if you are proactive yourself and keep in touch with the agency, rather than registering and then just waiting for something to happen. You could look for specific agencies dealing with engineers/countries - yes there are many, a quick google search will help with that.
