Email client issue- lotus notes

    Hi,
    Not sure if right forum....
    Anyhow, at work we use lotus notes, recently at a meeting my lotus notes populated with my fellow workers emails on a new tile. Full access to all their emails and I'm able to refresh them as well.
    IT guy played it down, i think this is a major issue....
    is it?

    When I worked for IBM, I fúcking hated using Lotus Notes or IBM Notes as they call it now. From what I can gather in the above link, it's not a serious issue, but a built in feature. So be warned, your manager/s may view your mails at their own discretion. You could follow the process and see if you can remove the ability to view other peoples mail.

    Can i stop others viewing my emails?

    totally bring it up to your managers and mention that it might be an issue.

    as to whether others can read your email i wouldn't worry about it, as long as you're not doing anything stupid like using it for non-work purposes or bitching/bullying/misconduct.

    my work email is strictly that, I write each and every email i sent as if i was to print it out and hand it to someone in charge.

    Unless there is a need to share emails in your team like a common project I find it strange that this has been activated. Can you view your managers emails as well? If you can I'd suggest mentioning it to them first thing in the morning.

    No unfortunately not the managers email. :-p......just fellow workers.
    it happened when I refreshed emails, did nothing else to the programme.
