Oil Feed Pipe to Turbo Bearing

Honest John advises that the oil feed pipe to the turbo bearing should be renewed periodically because these often get bunged up with carbon.

My daughter's car is a 1.9 Golf diesel (08), with 70,000 miles on the clock (no DPF). Lots of short trips, interspersed with one long weekly trip on the motorway.

How big a job is it to change that oil feed pipe and how much should it cost ?

If you service it regularly with the correct spec oil it shouldn't be necessary.
