buyer appears t be cheating!!

I sold Brand new Xbox one Fifa 15 digital download code to this fella on ebay.
He paid me via paypal and I send him the code via email.
He's saying now that the code i sent him is not working, i even took photo of the fifa 15 code and send second time.
He says its still not working! The code was brand new unused, and i opened up only after i received his payment.
I really think the buyer is making up the whole issue after downloading the game to his xbone hard drive, and trying to claim for paypal refund.
Is there any way to check if he's saying truth or lying??

Intangible items aren't covered by buyer protection. They're also not meant to be listed on ebay, despite the amount of digital items available there. Paypal may not refund the buyer, once it's noted that it's not a physical item. That said, there is always scams going around with this type of thing and sometimes they rightly side with the buyer.
I'm not sure if there's any way to check when/where a code was activated. On the off chance its an honest buyer, can you bring it back to where you got it? Maybe ask him for the exact message it says when he inputs the code?

Ask him for proper evidence that the code is indeed not working . It should give an error when he tried to use it also ask him provide his Xbox live details so you can check if he has or hasn't played the game .

Can you get him to make a video on his phone of typing in the code and the message on screen and email it to you?

Thank you guys.... it's sorted. He just messaged me saying it's up working now! He says the Xbox servers might have been down/ busy yesterday while he was trying to redeem the game code. God only knows!

He's probably telling the truth. The servers WERE down for a while.
